notes
  • Thistle's goal - a late header from a corner - is credited to Jim Melrose in the OH and this is backed up by DR/ET/HA. However, there's an opposing view that Dougie Somner was the man, he's credited by SC/APJ/AEE/AFC. The local reports are most credible, even going so far as to explain that Somner was inspired to score by Aberdeen fans having given him snowball pelters. Luckily for us, Jim Melrose was good enough to clear it up and the goal is duly assigned to Dougie Somner. (what a man, thanks Jim!)
