William Wilkie was born in Glasgow, although we've been unable to establish a date as of yet. * The 5' 8 (11st 5lbs) forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Tuesday, 1st March, 1927, having most recently been with East Fife. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 12th November, 1927, in a 2-0 defeat away to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division. Willie scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 24th December, 1927, in a 4-2 defeat away to Queen's Park in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 15th March, 1930, in a 1-1 draw at home to Dundee United in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 20 occasions. His club-list included East Fife, Partick Thistle and Raith Rovers. We don't know where or when Willie died. *
