● William Brown, 1908 (TFSH)

born in Scotland

William Brown was born in 1885 in Newmilns, East Ayrshire. *

The forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Tuesday, 23rd May, 1905, having most recently been with Newmilns Juniors.

Aged 19 or 20, he made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 15th August, 1905, in a 3-2 friendly defeat at home to St Mirren.

That day, William became a member of our scoring debutant's club, although it proved to be his only goal for Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 12th May, 1906, in a 2-0 win away to Clyde in the Glasgow League, having appeared as a Jag on 5 occasions.

His club-list included Newmilns Juniors, Partick Thistle, Ayr Parkhouse, Vale of Leven and West Ham United.

We don't know where or when William died. *
