Stewart Cairns was born on Friday, 15th June, 1984, in Dechmont, West Lothian.

The defender signed for Dick Campbell's Thistle on Tuesday, 30th January, 2007, having most recently been with Pumpherston.

Aged 22, he was listed as a substitute for the first time on Sunday, 25th March, 2007, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Airdrie United in the SFL First Division.

There were no registered first-team appearances for Stewart in his time at Thistle.

His club-list included Pumpherston, Partick Thistle, Heriot Watt University, Forfar Athletic and Broxburn Athletic.

Bio Extra

In January 2007, the 22-year-old midfielder was brought in from Pumpherston for a short spell to beef up the numbers but only made the bench once and saw no action. Returned to Pumpherston before joining Heriot Watt University for 2007-08. Got his first taste of senior football with Forfar Athletic in 2008-09, playing 12 League games that term. Joined Broxburn Athletic in the close season of 2009, and played with them all the way through to 2018. After retiring from the regular game, Stewart continued to play with Broxburn Athletic's Over 35s (mainly over 40s) team in that level's top division of the Lothian and Edinburgh Amateur Football Association.
