Stephen Arthur Nicholas was born on Wednesday, 8th July, 1981, in Stirling. The 5' 11 (12st 0lbs) midfielder signed for Dick Campbell's Thistle on Monday, 11th July, 2005, having most recently been with East Fife. Aged 24, he made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 12th July, 2005, in a 3-2 friendly defeat away to Buckie Thistle. There were no goals for Stevie during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Sunday, 14th May, 2006, in a 2-1 win (on pens aet) away to Peterhead in a League play-off match, having appeared as a Jag on 34 occasions. Stevie's club-list included Stirling Albion, Motherwell, East Fife, Northwich Victoria, Alloa Athletic, Partick Thistle, Stranraer, Queen's Park, Montrose and Ballingry Rovers. |

2006 - SFL FIRST DIVISION PLAY-OFFS
Peterhead went 1-up (5) but Roberts scored (swivel and shot, 8). Peterhead hit woodwork twice and missed a sitter before a 25-yard free-kick from Gibson (B) (90+) took the tie to goalless ET. Ritchie netted the final pen. A win v Peterhead at last and promotion the hard way. |
