Stephen James McKeown was born on Friday, 17th July, 1981, in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. The 5' 10 (12st 10lbs) forward signed for Ian McCall's Thistle on Tuesday, 1st January, 2008, having most recently been with Airdrie United. Aged 26, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 2nd January, 2008, in a 1-1 draw at home to Clyde in the SFL First Division. Stephen scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 16th February, 2008, in a 1-1 draw away to Dunfermline Athletic in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 10 goals on Saturday, 12th December, 2009, in a 5-2 win away to Airdrie United in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 3rd April, 2010, in a 2-0 defeat away to Airdrie United in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 70 occasions. Stephen's club-list included Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle, Ayr United, Pollok and Irvine Meadow XI. |
