He made his only known appearance on Saturday, 26th May, 1894, in a 3-2 neutral-venue defeat against Battlefield in the Greenock Charity Cup. That day, Smith became a member of our scoring debutant's club. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Smith died. *
