 Sean James Welsh was born on Thursday, 15th March, 1990, in Edinburgh. The 5' 9 (11st 0lbs) midfielder signed for Jackie McNamara's Thistle on Tuesday, 7th February, 2012, having most recently been with Hibernian. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 11th February, 2012, in a 3-1 defeat away to Livingston in the SFL First Division. Sean scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 14th April, 2012, in a 1-1 draw at home to Raith Rovers in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 15 goals on Saturday, 17th December, 2016, in a 1-1 draw away to Heart of Midlothian in the SPFL Premiership. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 11th February, 2017, in a 1-0 win away to St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup, having clocked up 140 appearances as a Jag. At January, 2024, Sean's club-list included Hibernian, Stenhousemuir, Stirling Albion, Partick Thistle, Falkirk, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Queen's Park. |
