Bio Extra

Progressing from Hutchison Vale Boys Club, Scott continued his development at Heart of Midlothian, where he would spend seven years all told, representing Scotland at international youth level during that time. He made his first team debut for the Jambos as a substitute against Inverness in April 2008, in the process becoming the youngest player ever to have played competitive football for Hearts at 16 years, 1 month and 14 days old. Another youthful highlight was achieved on 23 January 2010 when the 17-year-old Scott scored his first competitive goal for Hearts in a 1–1 League draw with Rangers in front of 47,000 at Ibrox.

In the summer of 2015, Scott joined Kilmarnock on a three-year-deal, but before his first season was through he was released from the club. Towards the end of March 2016, Robinson joined Dunfermline Athletic on trial, subsequently signing a short-term contract as an amateur for the Scottish League One side at the start of April 2016. Robinson made his debut in a two-all draw with Forfar Athletic at East End Park, but after making just two appearances for the Pars, Robinson was released by the club at the end of his contract in May 2016. Shortly after leaving Dunfermline, Robinson signed for Fife rivals East Fife. On 11 May 2017, Robinson signed a pre-contract with Livingston, and played his part in helping the West Lothian side progress from League One towards the Premiership, scoring 13 goals in 91 League appearances.

A surprise return to Rugby Park followed in the summer of 2021, a season in which Scott ended up with a Championship winners medal. He played with Killie in their first season back in the top flight, as their Premiership status was retained. Over the course of his two seasons at Rugby Park he made 39 appearances in all competitions, finding the net on 4 occasions. In June 2023, Kris Doolan brought him to Firhill as, jointly, his first new signing, along with Wasiri Williams who was announced on the same day: “When I knew of Scott’s availability, he was a player that I was keen to add to the squad as quickly as possible. He has experience of getting out of this league and is a proven winner as demonstrated throughout his career. He’s a hard worker and he has a great attitude so I think he’ll fit in well alongside the other attacking players we have at the club. He can play in a number of positions in our team and I see him as a key part of what we are looking to achieve this season.
