Scott James McLean was born on Thursday, 17th June, 1976, in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire. The 5' 11½ (12st 5lbs) forward signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Friday, 17th December, 1999, having most recently been with Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 18th December, 1999, in a 1-0 win at home to Stenhousemuir in the SFL Second Division. Scott scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 5th February, 2000, in a 2-0 win away to Stirling Albion in the SFL Second Division. He scored the last of his 39 goals on Saturday, 7th December, 2002, in a 4-0 win at home to Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Premier League. He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 28th January, 2003, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Livingston in the Scottish Premier League, having clocked up 110 appearances as a Jag. Scott's club-list included East Kilbride Thistle, St Johnstone, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Queen of the South, Partick Thistle, St Mirren, Stirling Albion and Stranraer. |
