Scott McArthur was born on Wednesday, 28th February, 1968, in Johnstone, Renfrewshire.

The 5' 11 (11st 10lbs) defender signed for Tommy Bryce's Thistle on Wednesday, 29th July, 1998 (after a trial period), having most recently been with Hamilton Academical.

Aged 30, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 25th July, 1998, in a 3-0 friendly defeat at home to Le Havre.

There were no goals for Scott during his time with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 8th May, 1999, in a 2-2 draw away to Queen of the South in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 13 occasions.

Scott's club-list included Arthurlie, Heart of Midlothian, Morton, Hamilton Academical and Partick Thistle.

Bio Extra

One of the first signings made by Tommy Bryce when he took over as Thistle manager. Featured in the Thistle side at the start of the season mainly as a substitute but injury restricted his appearances thereafter, and it was no surprise when John Lambie handed him a free transfer at the season's end.
