Russell James Kelly was born on Tuesday, 10th August, 1976, in Ballymoney, County Antrim. The 5' 11 (11st 12lbs) midfielder signed on a short-term basis for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 31st March, 2003, having most recently been with Ayr United. Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 1st April, 2000, in a 1-1 draw at home to Stranraer in the SFL Second Division. Russell scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 6th May, 2000, in a 3-2 defeat away to Arbroath in the SFL Second Division. That goal came in his second and final appearance for the club. Russell's club-list included Chelsea, Leyton Orient, Darlington, St Mirren, Dundee, Þór Akureyri, Ayr United, Partick Thistle and Linfield. |
