Roger Eli was born on Saturday, 11th September, 1965, in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The 5' 11 (11st 3lbs) forward signed for John Lambie's Thistle on a short term basis in March, 1995, having most recently been with Scunthorpe United. Aged 29, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 1st April, 1995, in a 2-2 draw at home to Hibernian in the SFL Premier Division. There were no goals for Roger during his spell with Thistle. He played his second and last game for the club on Tuesday, 4th April, 1995, in a 3-1 win at home to Heart of Midlothian in the SFL Premier Division. Roger's club-list included Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cambridge United, Crewe Alexandra, Pontefract Colliery, York City, Bury, Northwich Victoria, Burnley, Foshan, Scunthorpe United, Partick Thistle and Bradford Park Avenue. |
