Roderick James Wylie was born on Friday, 31st January, 1969, in Glasgow.

The 5' 11 (13st 0lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle circa April, 1990, having most recently been with Campsie Black Watch.

Aged 21, he made his debut appearance (as a trialist) on Wednesday, 11th April, 1990, in a 3-0 friendly win at home to Stjarnan.

There were no goals for Roddy during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 14th August, 1990, in a 3-2 friendly win away to Portadown, having appeared as a Jag on 4 occasions.

Roddy's club-list included Campsie Black Watch, Partick Thistle, Cumbernauld United, Maryhill, Alloa Athletic, Arbroath and Montrose.
