Roderick David Hutchison was born on Friday, 25th March, 1955, in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire. The forward signed for Peter Cormack's Thistle on Tuesday, 14th February, 1984, having most recently been with Hamilton Academical. Aged 28, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 18th February, 1984, in a 4-1 win at home to Meadowbank Thistle in the SFL First Division. Roddy scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 25th August, 1984, in a 2-1 defeat away to Motherwell in the SFL First Division. He scored his second and final goal for the club on Saturday, 1st September, 1984, in a 3-0 win at home to Falkirk in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for Thistle on Saturday, 19th January, 1985, in a 4-0 win away to Brechin City in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 22 occasions. Roddy's club-list included Clyde, Pollok, Morton, Hamilton Academical, Queen of the South, Partick Thistle, South China, East Fife, Petershill and Kilsyth Rangers. |
