Robert William Fleck was born on Wednesday, 11th August, 1965, in Glasgow. The 5' 10 (10st 8lbs) forward temporarily transferred to Peter Cormack's Thistle on Thursday, 29th December, 1983, from his parent club, Rangers. Aged 18, he made his debut appearance on Monday, 2nd January, 1984, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Clyde in the SFL First Division. Robert scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 7th January, 1984, in a 2-1 defeat away to Ayr United in the SFL First Division. That goal came in his second and final appearance for the club. Robert's club-list included Rangers, Partick Thistle, Norwich City, Chelsea, Bolton Wanderers, Bristol City, Reading and Gorleston. |

From his performances since then, he did not do himself justice at Firhill, although he scored once at Broomfield in a 2-1 defeat. After returning to lbrox he was signed for Norwich City and played full international football. |
