Robert Currie was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward joined Thistle in 1892, having most recently been with Minerva. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 27th August, 1892, in a 4-3 defeat at home to St Bernard's in the Scottish Alliance League. Robert scored his first known goal for Thistle on Saturday, 3rd September, 1892, in a 3-3 friendly draw at home to Royal Albert. He scored the last of his 29 known goals on Saturday, 12th November, 1898, in a 2-2 draw away to St Mirren in the SFL First Division. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 26th August, 1899, in a 2-1 win at home to Morton in the SFL Second Division, having clocked up at least 134 appearances for the Thistle. His club-list included Minerva, Partick Thistle, Ayr Parkhouse and East Stirlingshire. We don't know where or when Robert died. *
