β€’ Robert Conner, 1902 (HA)

probably born in Scotland

Robert F. Conner was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward signed for Thistle on Saturday, 7th September, 1901, having most recently been with Vale of Clyde.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 7th September, 1901, in a 5-1 win at home to St Bernard's in the SFL Second Division.

That day, Robert became a member of our scoring debutant's club, and even added a second for good measure.

He scored the last of his 28 goals on Saturday, 21st March, 1903, in a 3-2 defeat away to Queen's Park in the Inter City League.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 12th December, 1903, in a 1-0 friendly win away to East Stirlingshire, having appeared as a Jag on 58 occasions.

His club-list included Vale of Clyde, Heart of Midlothian, Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Bathgate and St Bernard's.

We don't know where or when Robert died. *
