Richard Alexander Waddell was born on Wednesday, 4th February, 1981, in Falkirk. The 5' 9½ (11st 7lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Friday, 21st June, 2002, having most recently been with Falkirk. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Thursday, 18th July, 2002, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Bangor. Ricky scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 26th October, 2002, in a 1-1 draw away to Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Saturday, 25th October, 2003, in a 4-1 defeat at home to Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premier League. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 14th February, 2004, in a 2-1 defeat away to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League, having appeared as a Jag on 31 occasions. Ricky's club-list included ICI Juveniles, Stenhousemuir, Falkirk, Partick Thistle, Hamilton Academical, Forfar Athletic, Sengkang Punggol, Ayr United, Stirling Albion, Airdrie United, Clyde and Los Angeles Blues. |
