Richard John Huxford was born on Friday, 25th July, 1969, in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. The 5' 11 (12st 2lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle in June, 2001, having most recently been with Alloa Athletic. Aged 32, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 28th July, 2001, in a 1-0 friendly defeat at home to Notts County. There were no goals for Richard during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 27th October, 2001, in a 2-0 win away to Ayr United in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 11 occasions. Richard's club-list included Matlock Town, Burton Albion, Gainsborough Trinity, Kettering Town, Barnet, Millwall, Birmingham City, Bradford City, Peterborough United, Burnley, Dunfermline Athletic, Alloa Athletic, Partick Thistle, Berwick Rangers, Sauchie, Cambridge City, Ely City and Elgin City. |

Champions! McCulloch headed the opener from a Burns corner (22). After the break Cameron hit the bar then, set up by McLean, Fleming scored from close in, breaking his leg in the process (51). St Mirren never looked like spoiling the party and Thistle saw the game out to take the title. |
