Bio Extra

Not only is Muir a complete unknown, we can't even be 100% sure that he played at all! He was listed in the "probable" line-up (usually very accurate to be fair) in the Scottish Referee the day before his only known game in late May 1896, the finale to the season. He was down to play at outside left. We've seen three match reports, but they're all very light on detail. Thistle beat Linthouse 6-2 at Inchview. A.H. Cunningham let fly from 30 yards to put Thistle one up, then William Lawson added a second before half-time. That's yer lot!
