Muir Walker Wilson Honeyman was born on Friday, 5th April, 1895, in Larbert, Stirlingshire. The 5' 7 (10st 4lbs) forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Tuesday, 10th August, 1915 (after a previous trial period), having most recently been with Ashfield. Aged 20, he made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 13th April, 1915, in a 2-2 draw at home to Rangers in a Benefit match. Muir scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 11th September, 1915, in a 1-1 win (on corners aet) away to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup. He scored the last of his 6 goals on Saturday, 15th April, 1916, in a 5-2 win at home to Rangers in the Scottish Football League. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 28th April, 1917, in a 2-0 defeat away to Third Lanark in the Scottish Football League, having appeared as a Jag on 59 occasions. His club-list included Ashfield, Partick Thistle, Heart of Midlothian, Stenhousemuir and Bo'ness. We don't know where or when Muir died. *
