Thistle took the lead when McKeown scored at the 2nd attempt off the keeper (14) but a deserved leveller came (38). Roberts' mazy runs caused lots of problems and he was denied a pen when he was pulled down. Twaddle set up Gray for the winner (63) and there were a few scary moments before the end.

PARTICK DEVIL DAMON A BAD OMEN FOR LIVI. HITKID Damon Gray was the Jags hero again as he scored the winner with his third goal in four days. Stephen McKeown's early opener for Thistle had been wiped out by Leigh Griffiths eight minutes before the break. However, on-loan Hibs striker Gray followed up his weekend double against Clyde with a screamer in 63 minutes to hand the Jags yet another win over Livi.

Mark Proctor's men had been seeking revenge after their Scottish Cup exit at Firhill last month and showed more attacking intent in the opening stages. Chris Malone crossed to Griffiths whose on-target shot didn't trouble keeper Jonathan Tuffey. They fell behind after 15 minutes though when McKeown was sent clear by Mark Roberts. Colin Stewart parried his first effort but the midfielder showed great composure to slam home the rebound. Lee Makel nearly levelled with a deflected shot that caught Tuffey flat-footed in 26 minutes but he recovered well to gather. Roberts then found space on the right and picked out Gray but the hit man hesitated and James McPake blocked his shot. Thistle's Scott Chaplain limped off in 35 minutes to be replaced by Kevin McKinlay. And less than two minutes later Griffiths created space to flick in Livi's equaliser. Roberts forced a great save from Stewart just before half-time with a rising 18-yard drive.

There were few openings after the break but Roberts' mazy runs and crosses were causing panic for Livi. The Jags livewire was denied a penalty when he went down under a challenge from Cameron MacDonald. But the ball broke to sub McKinlay who fired straight at Stewart from six yards. Partick regained the lead in 63 minutes with Gray making up for his earlier miss. Full-back Marc Twaddle robbed Chris Malone and passed to David Rowson who found Gray on the right and the hitman rifled a shot into the far corner of Stewart's net. Livi boss Mark Proctor threw on Keaghan Jacobs and Steven Weir as they pressed for an equaliser but the Thistle defence held firm.
