Dunfermline took the lead (11) and had several other chances to increase their lead as Thistle toiled. Not one attempt at the home goal was registered in the first half. Dunfermline were reduced to 10 men (51) but continued to threaten then McKeown's low shot (74) left Thistle the happier team with a point.

Partick showed signs of fatigue from their midweek cup heroics as they struggled to a draw against a determined 10-man Dunfermline side. The home side took the lead after 10 minutes as Thistle failed to clear a Stephen Glass corner and Stevie Crawford netted from close range. The Pars were reduced to 10 men after 50 minutes when Kevin Harper was sent off for a reckless tackle. Partick equalised on 73 minutes through Stephen McKeown's clinical finish.
