After several close efforts, Dorrans scored with a powerful shot (24) then Alloa's keeper fumbled a McCulloch shot over the line (30). They reduced the lead just after half-time but Gibson (J) made it 3 (60). 2 goals by Santala (2) and 1 by Gibson (B) made it 6. It was all Thistle and could have been more.

Partick Thistle moved third in Division Two after this demolition job. Graeme Dorrans opened the scoring after 24 minutes from just inside the area, before Scott McCulloch added a second seven minutes later. Robert Sloan pulled a goal back from 12 yards after the break but any thoughts of a comeback were soon ended. James Gibson fired home on 58 minutes, before two goals in a minute from Jukka Santala and a sixth by Billy Gibson completed the rout.
