Panic set in when Spittal hit his own bar, the rebound was handled on the line by Dempsey and the pen was converted (7). Kelly wasted a good chance on the half-hour. Thistle got back into it when Gallagher shot under the keeper's body for 1-1 but in a breakaway a harmless looking header was deflected past MacLean by Spittal (89).
