Ayr threatened early on but it was Thistle who took the lead when Gallagher was hauled back and he scored from the spot (11). Brough saved a shot with his legs then the bar saved him. A header (58) put Ayr level then a low drive (80) made it 2-1 but Purdie earned a point with a goal with 6 minutes remaining.
