Rovers scored (11) then hit the post as injury-hit Thistle struggled. 4-0 down in 57 minutes (including 2 from ex-JAG Dalziel) made for an impossible task but a spirited fight-back saw Gallagher (58 and 82) and Logan (header, 64) make it 4-3. Thistle pushed fading Rovers back but couldn't find a 4th.
