A header by Gibson (17) opened as Thistle went 5 up in 40 minutes (Watson, pen and 20 yard free-kick, Jardine and trialist Gray). A beautiful header by non-league Fort William (44) sparked off local celebrations but there were 6 goals in the last 20 minutes (Park (4, 1 pen), McDonald (pen) and a Watson free-kick).
