A Melrose header from a Gibson cross broke the deadlock in a low key match. Thistle did most of the attacking and went close several times. Hibs only showed in attack occasionally but Rough was sound in goal. McQuade was unlucky and hit the post with a lofted shot over the keeper (89). Thistle finished 5th.
