The more experienced Fifers deserved their win. Glavin scored (4) but 5 minutes later it was 1-1 (a 25-yarder). The visitors enjoyed some luck as Thistle hit the woodwork and had shots blocked but the 2 headed goals (22 and 71) were decisive. However, Thistle won the section from the Fifers by 0.03 of a goal.
