The ref (who'd been knocked out by a free kick on 75 mins) blew for time 4 minutes early and the teams had to be recalled to the field. No concussion protocols in those days!

A penalty gave 3rd top Hibs the lead (6) then they hit the bar and Niven had a fine save. Hogan went close from 25 yards but it was Hibs who scored (27) then their keeper had a spectacular double save from McLindon and Ewing. Ewing scored at the 2nd attempt (54) before he KO'd the ref with a free-kick (75). Unlucky.
