“Astonishingly good entertainment“ (GH) on a bone-hard, sanded pitch. Motherwell had the early chances before Thistle took over only to be denied by fine goalkeeping until a 25-yard shot by Ewing when he cut in from the wing went in off both posts (44). It was nearly all Thistle. The biggest threat came from the thickening fog.
