The OH (by process of elimination) credits Davie McParland with either the 2nd or the 4th at the expense of Bobby Gilmour (probably the 2nd). However, the ET's written account is very detailed, not only naming the scorers but all those involved in the build up. They mention McParland playing his part in the moves for Gilmour's two goals, but do not credit him with actually scoring any of the 4. The BU tally-up (Ewing, Gilmour 2, Wright) backs up the ET. Backing up the OH, the GH tallies the scorers as (Ewing, McParland, Wright, Gilmour). Neither of these two papers carry actual match reports. As things stand, we're compelled to side with ET/BU position.

With Ewing and McParland in fine form, Smith hit the bar then Ewing opened (17) with a hard, low shot. He missed a pen then McParland blasted over from 6 yards. Gilmour (50) and Wright (60) made it 3-0. With snow falling, a poor Thirds team scored with a pen (hand ball, 68) but Gilmour made it 4-1 (73).
