The Little Report Smith gave Thistle the lead (15) to a sporting round of applause but it was soon 1-1 (the defence waiting for an off-side whistle). Spurs went on to give Thistle a footballing lesson with goals 50, 69 and 76. Smith had some excellent saves but too often was left exposed by Thistle's failed off-side ploys.
