Poor shooting and good defending kept things tight in a hard, punishing game. Smith side-footed Thistle into the lead (5). It was 1-1 when Ledgerwood saved a pen but the taker scored from the rebound (14). Ewing scored with a header (65) then Wright went off injured (70) but the 10 men held on comfortably.
