notes
  • In the springtime of 1941, Dennistoun Waverley's secretary/manager Andy Moffat organized several friendlies in aid of the Clydeside Air Raid Distress Fund (aka Blitz Fund) and Partick Thistle duly obliged when asked. The Clydebank Blitz was a pair of air raids conducted by the Luftwaffe on the shipbuilding and munition-making town of Clydebank in Scotland. The bombings took place in March 1941.
