Thistle had the edge for the first 15 minutes but found the home defence a tough proposition. KP got into the game and hit the post. A clearance off the line denied Thistle the opener just on half-time. A drive (67) won the cup. Gibbs got his fingers to the shot but couldn't keep it out. Earlier, Torbet had missed a penalty.
