An excellent game of fluctuating fortunes. Thistle took the lead through Grove then McNeill made it 2-0 on his debut. Hibs rallied and drew level (30) only for McDougall (also on his debut) to make it 3-2 at half-time. Hibs equalised again (54) but Salisbury scored the winner (87) when Grove hit the bar.
