OH/JL lists “Webb” as scorer of Thistle's second, but he's not even in team line up. In fact, there is no “Webb” mentioned in any games for that season, OR any other season for that matter. Ink splodge victims methinks. DR re-affirms Ness, as does SC, and we've gone with them.

Queens started well but once Hair gave Thistle the lead (header, 23) the result was never in doubt. The half-backs dominated the erratic Queens forwards and an oblique drive by Ness (the best shot of the game, 67) killed them off and they were on the back foot for the rest of the match. Lambie was in great form.
