After some Thistle pressure, 2nd bottom Dumbarton (2 wins in 22) took a 2-goal lead by half-time. Clearly the better team, they pulled the Thistle defence apart for the 3rd before Bowie scored a fine goal from a Gillow run. An incorrect off-side decision late on prevented Dumbarton's hat-trick man a 4th. Very poor.
