The snow was cleared and the fog lifted. Thistle were the better team but couldn't find the net. The Rovers keeper was in excellent form but he fumbled a long shot by McTavish (50). Bowie drove home 3 minutes later for 2-0. It was a good close match and Rovers belied their position stranded at the bottom.
