  • SC/GH/DR all state that McDonald of Thistle put through his own net, but JL credits Thomson of Airdrie (who shot). The GH has a degree of sympathy for the JL view, saying that McDonald “assisted the ball past Howden”. The DR report is most compelling; “McDonald, in attempting to clear, headed past Howden to the chagrin of his colleagues and their supporters” and we go with that majority view.
