teamline notes
  • Teamlines per GH, OH concurs.
dubious goals panel
  • The OH credits Paul (2), Lawson (2) and Lamb (2) but we've been unable to match up with that in any of the detailed reports that we've seen, namely the SR and the CE. There's consensus with goals 1, 2, 5 and 6 being credited to Lawson (3) and Lamb (1), but both papers talk of scrimmages for goals 3 and 4. We've decided to fall in line with the OH that Willie Paul got 2, and therefore take a punt that he was involved in the stramashes for goals 3 and 4. We're further encouraged in this decision by the comment in Monday's SR that “Paul was on great form, the handsome recognition of that goal at Linthouse having cheered him up, no doubt.” In comparison to the OH therefore, we've ultimately applied +1 for Lawson and -1 for Lamb as far as things stand.
