Both the OH/JL credit William Lawson with a goal at the expense of Willie Paul. JL specifically credits Lawson with the opener (a penalty). However, both the GT/SR reports are clear that the penalty was scored by Willie Paul. The goals from outfield play are then credited to Proudfoot (the 2nd in GT/SC), Paul (the 3rd, SC) and Proudfoot (the 4th, SC). We therefore go Paul / Proudfoot / Paul / Proudfoot.

Thistle led 2-0 thanks to a Paul penalty (twice taken because of encroachment) and Proudfoot (J) before Morton reduced the deficit on the stroke of half-time. In the second half Paul made it 3 then towards the end Proudfoot got his 2nd goal for a good win against bottom of the table Morton.
