Celtic scored (30). Thistle had most of the play but wasted several chances. In the second half “amidst loud cheers John Proudfoot equalised with a low oblique shot” (GH). Celtic took the lead then Paul was stretchered off. It was too much for Thistle in their “crippled state”. A later appeal (dodgy team lines) was dismissed.
