This was a comfortable win for Thistle side against “the villagers”. White opened the scoring and a 2nd soon followed. It was 2-1 at half-time, Thornliebank having pulled one back. Gilchrist and Currie made it 4-1 before a 5th was scored from a goalmouth scramble to give Thistle the win.

Played at Inchview Park, Whiteinch. The Thistle, who played a scractch team, kicked off and soon scored, through White. A second point was gained some time later. Murray then scored for the “Villagers“. Half-time:- Thistle, 2 goals; Thornliebank, 1 goal. In the second half, Gilchrist and Currie each scored for the Thistle, and latterly a fifth point was scrimmaged through. The strangers broke away frequently but failed to increase their score. Result:- Partick Thistle, 5 goals; Thornliebank, 1 goal.
