Cliftonville scored (10) but Thistle equalised from a goalmouth scramble. It was 2-1 at half-time and soon 3-1 but Cliftonville lost a player “his kneecap knocked out” (GEP) and Thistle rattled in 4 goals from Stewart, Paul, Currie and Paul again for the win. The home keeper kept the score down with some fine saves.
