On resuming, the Thistle forced the pace, but they were beaten back, and the Vale gained a point out of a scrimmage. Gilchrist then notched a point for the Thistle, which was followed by another from Murray. The Vale scored again, and an interesting game resulted: - Vale of Leven, four goals; Partick Thistle, three goals.
