• Valencia was a short-lived club (1875-1877) who played their games at Glasgow Green.
• Shipping lines to and from Valencia were common in the press at this time. In Glasgow, fancy foods such as almonds, rasins, nuts, onions and oranges were imported from there.
• A return match was arranged at Glasgow Green for 3 weeks later (11th March) but, alas, no result has been found in any of the newspapers that we've checked.
